Volunteer Tutor and Adult Student

About Adult Basic Education (ABE)

Adult Basic Education (ABE) includes basic reading, writing, and math skills. ABE literacy tutors may also cover computer skills, job-related skills, and other material generated from the adult student’s specific goals.

ABE Services Available

Free tutoring and small-group instruction are available for adults who need ABE instruction. Tutoring occurs twice a week either virtually or at a public location agreed upon by the tutor and student, such as a local library. Daytime and evening meeting times are available.
